Isa Kutepa Memorial Islamic School Graduates 45 Students

At least 45 students of Isa Kutepa Memorial Islamic School, Lokoja, graduated from the school after completing the reading of 60 portions of the Holy Quran on Saturday.

The Director of the school, who is also the Chief Imam of Isa Kutepa Central Mosque, Alhaji Mohammed Yahaya Abu Bilat, announced this in Lokoja, Kogi State on Saturday when he addressed guests at the 3rd Walimat Mauludun Nabiyi and graduation ceremony.

He said 35 students successfully completed the reading of 60 portions of the Holy Quran, while 10 students of the age of 13 years learnt the entire Holy Quran by heart.

In his remarks, the Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji (Dr) Mohammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111, who was represented by Mallam Tanko Tale, congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be of good character.

He said traditional rulers would continue to support the pursuit of both Islamic and Western education.

He called on the graduating students to make judicious use of the knowledge acquired, stressing that they should be good ambassadors of the school.

The monarch cautioned them against keeping bad company and unnecessary arguments that could cause trouble for themselves and the society.

Chairman of the Alhaji ceremony, Ahmadu Abubakar Muye, former Minister of Finance, also congratulated the graduating students and urged them to imbibe the teachings of the Holy Quran in their daily activities.

He also called on parents to enrol their children in western educational schools, stressing that girl-child education was paramount to the nation`s development.

He said he was willing to extend any support to the school and the graduating students especially those who are determined to further their education.

The event featured the celebration of Walimat Mauludun Nabiyi 1443/2022, presentation of certificates to the graduating students and drama.

Dignitaries from all walks of life attended the ceremony.
