Ramadan: Bukky Distributes Food Items Wort N10m To Less Privilege In Lokoja, Kogi LGAs

A philanthropist, Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar Bukky, has donated food items and cash worth N10 million to the needies in Lokoja and Kogi Local Government Areas of Kogi State for Ramadan Fast.

The beneficiaries of the donation are orphans, physically challenged, widows as well as Islamic scholars drawn across the two local government areas.

The Personal Assistant to Bukky, Comrade Abubakar Musa Babaanini disclosed this while distributing the items to the beneficiaries in Lokoja on Friday.

He said other beneficiaries are traditional leaders, officials and supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Jumu’at Mosques, preaching centers and associations.

He said the food items include 1,900 bags of rice, 1,120 bags of maize, 920 bags of sugar and 60 cartoons of milk at a total cost of over N10 million.

Babaanini said cash was also distributed to some selected individuals in the two local government areas.

He said that 309 widows were given 1 bag of rice and N1,000 each to enable them observe Ramadan fast with ease.

Bukky’s Personal Assistant, therefore, urged the committees in charge of the distribution to ensure justice and fairness while distributing the items.

He also appealed to Muslims to use the period of Ramadan to offer special prayers for the country.

Recall that recently, Bukky, who is a chieftain of the APC in Kogi State and the Secretary General, ALGON, distributed free Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, JAMB, forms to prospective candidates from Lokoja and Kogi local government areas.

He also empowered petty traders through the disbursrment of cash to individual traders.
