House of Representatives aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Idris Ndako, on Friday, picked up his Expression of Interest and Nomination Form to contest for the Kogi/Lokoja Federal Constituecy election amid wide ovation.
Ndako, who is the Kogi State House of Assembly member representing Lokoja 2 State Constituecy, was received by a mammoth crowd of party faithful and support groups from across the eleven wards that makes up the Constituecy, who have been urging him to run for House of Representatives.
Addressing the crowd that had come to welcome him, Ndako said, “Right now, what we have ahead of us is a task of canvassing and consulting all party faithfuls, leaders, delegates and stalwarts in the Constituecy to support us so that we become the flagbearer of this great party next month.
“And by the special grace of God, I am confident I shall become victorious and the party shall become victorious.
Speaking with newsmen after picking the nomination forms Friday in Abuja, Ndako promised good representation if given the opportunity.
The House of Representatives aspirant said he would explore all democratic ways to provide more development to his constituency looking at its proximity to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
He said: “I’m robust; I have legislative experience, the National Assembly will not be a new place to me. I am a serving member of Kogi State House of Assemby and my representation is well-felt not only in my constituency but in Kogi State as a whole.
“My chances can be seen on how I came here. I have been with the people, I have always related, I have always aligned, I have always associated, I have always supported and I have always assisted my people, so I’m a man of the people.
“As far as Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituecy is concerned, I’m the man to beat. The most critical problems of my constituency as far as our proximity to the FCT is concerned, can be defined or said to be socioeconomic problem. And in that area, what I will do first, is to ensure that enabling laws are put in place that would diversify, deepen and grow the socioeconomic wellbeing of my people,” Ndako explained.
