NNPP Holds Hitch-Free House Of Assembly Primary Elections In Kogi

In line with provisions of its constitution and the Electoral Act of Nigeria, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), on Wednesday, 18th May, 2022, held House of Assembly Primary Election across the 21 local government areas of Kogi State.

The primary election was meant for the election emergence of the party’s flag bearers for the forthcoming general elections.

Reacting to the conduct of the exercise, the State’s chapter of the party expressed satisfaction that the exercise was successful in all the 21 local government areas peacefully.

Briefing Journalists in Lokoja, the State capital, Alhaji Musa Audu Dankano, the party’s Publicity Secretary, said “the winners of the primary elections are now the flag bearers of the party.

The party commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for diligently monitoring the exercise in each of the local government area in strict compliance with provisions of the law.

“Equally, Kogi NNPP lauds the order and security maintained at each of the venues of the exercise by Security agencies which contributed immensely to its successful conduct and outcome.

“It is our faith that the next round of primary elections will enjoy similar success in reflection of the robust internal democracy culture of our great party”, Dankano told newsmen.
