The Western Senatorial District candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPN), Hon Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar Bukky, has condoled the families, relatives and the entire people of Lokoja Traditional Council over the demise of the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Alh. Dr. Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III, who passed away yesterday.
In a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, Bukky described the death of late Maigari of Lokoja as a great loss not only to his family, but to the entire people of Kogi State.
He said, late Alh. Dr. Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III would forever be remembered for his humbleness, sincerity and dedication to the worship of Allah.
Bukky, who is also an illustrious son of Lokoja, said, “I received with deep shock the passing away of our highly respected Maigari of Lokoja who died on Wednesday”.
“The late Maigari was an astute leader, administrator and Islamic Scholar who served his people, his religion during his lifetime”
The NNPP senatorial hopeful prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the late
monarch and give his family and the entire people of Lokoja Chiefdom the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
