The Sarkin Yakin Lakwaja, Alhaji Muhammed Karaworo Ahmed, father of the Dandarma Of Lokoja, Barrister Naseer Ahmad, has died.
The family announced his passing Friday evening.
The deceased, 96, is survived by one wife, 37 children, 60 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, the family said.
The statement, which was personally signed by Barrister Naseer Ahmad, said the deceased has since been buried at Kofar Kudu, Emir of Kano palace Kano.
According to the statement, the Sarkin Yakin Lakwaja, was born in 1926.
