New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP), senatorial candidate for Kogi West,
Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar Bukky, has urged the people to beware of political jobbers masquerading as lifesavers.
Bukky urged the electorate to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to elect a credible candidate.
He said this in an interview with NationalWatch, ahead of the kick off of his door-to-door campaign and open-air rallies across the seven local governments of Kogi West.
Bukky said this was important for the country’s development, adding the electorate should look out for people with a clean slate of achievements and antecedents.
He said: “Our campaign is entering another phase next week and we are not relenting on gains we have recorded. We are strategic about it and we are intimating our people about the kind of representation they should expect.
“Our approach is not pedestrian and the feedback has been satisfactory, we can say we are coasting to victory”
He urged the people to ask the candidates the right questions, saying they should not vote for those with questionable backgrounds and wealth.
“The people of Kogi West are noble; we cannot have our voice silenced in the National Assembly, therefore, we must avoid incompetent politicians who cannot speak about their plans, that is if they have one, but they show their disingenuous faces during elections by attempting to lure people into empty promises.
