The Two-Baba Movement, a group determined to ensure the emergence of Dele Bello-Williams as Kogi West Senator in 2023, has commenced door-to-door campaigns to win grassroots support for the Africa Democratic Congress, (ADC) candidate in different wards of Lokoja the Kogi State Capital.
The group, led by its Director of Mobilisation and Social Impact, Alhaji Alhassan Abdullahi, aka Two-Baba, was at the palace of the Oba Yoruba in Cantonment, Lokoja, Alhaji Bello Audu Oke, for a courtesy visit on Saturday to seek the blessings of the royal father and his subjects in the area.
Speaking to reporters during the campaign exercise, Mr. Abdullahi, said the essence of the visit was to campaign for the ADC senatorial candidate by sensitising the people at the grassroots on where and why they should put their finger prints for Bello-Williams during the February 25 senatorial election.
He added that part of the strategy is to make the people understand the kind of change that is coming to Kogi West, stressing that judging by track records, Bello-Williams is the only candidate that can make the senatorial district work.
Abdullahi assured that the group with its strategy will deliver the Lokoja local government area to the ADC and Bello-Williams and end the dominance of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Kogi West.
He noted that the track records of Bello-Williams, was matchless, adding that Bello-Williems has captured the aspirations of the youth and women in his manifesto, which is very inclusive with a promise to secure the future of all Kogi West people.
“The strategy is Door-To-Door and the idea is to tell the people about our principal and the things he has done in the past because he is the only candidate who has a track record that you can easily see,” he said.
The campaign trail also visited other parts of Lokoja where party faithful engaged the people and offered some palliatives even as they distributed flyers, flags, posters and other emblems of the party to the people.
