Kogi West 2023: Bello-Williams Unveils 10-Point Legislative Agenda, As Ebira Community In Lokoja Endorsed Him

The Senatorial Candidate of Kogi West Senatorial District for the African Democratic Congress, (ADC), Dele Bello-Williams, has assured of inclusive representation and unveiled a 10 point agenda exactly two weeks to the Presidential and National Assembly elections, slated for the 25th of February this year.

Speaking after unveiling the manifesto, the Senatorial candidate said; “in addition to the traditional responsibilities and oversight at the National Assembly, as a representative of this important constituency, I intend to be an inclusive representative that can be brought to account”.

According to Bello-Williams, “l want to focus on this ten key areas; Budgetary reforms focusing on fiscal stability and responsive budgeting for citizens needs, explore resource mobilization across MDAs, coordination and collaboration to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Rural Area Economic Investment Agenda.”

Other thematic areas of the unveiled manifesto include; “Knowledge Economy & Human Capital Agenda, Expansion of Affordable Healthcare Coverage, Security & Defense Reform Bill, Climate Resiliency and Renewal Energy Agenda, Open and Safe Public Schools Agenda, Poverty Reduction and Health and Education grants to indigent students, women and the vulnerable.” Bello-Williams said.

Bello-Williams also promised regular town hall meetings and engagements to get the inputs and feedback of constituents into various legislative process in addition to running functional constituency office when elected as a Senator representing the good people of Kogi West Senatorial District.

The unveiling event held at Kewon Hotels, Lokoja on12 February 2023 was well attended by a cross section of politicians, civil society groups, the media, party and union leadership and the academia.

Earlier, his senatorial ambition received a boost with his endorsement by Ebira community residence in Lokoja.

The group stressed that Bello-Williams remains the best candidate for the Kogi West Senatorial District considering his track records.

According to Leader of the group, John Momoh, “we would not to forget the respect Bello-Williams accorded the Ebiras in Lokoja. We will surely return the good gesture by giving him our votes.

Momoh lamented that: “Voters in Kogi West are tired of rotating senatorial seat between APC and PDP. This time around we would give our votes to the ADC candidate.

He urged the Ebiras in Lokoja to take the Dele Bello-Williams project serious assuring that with him, Kogi West would fare better at the National Assembly.
