Fidau Prayer: Dignitaries Eulogise Mother Of Aguye

Top government officials in Kogi State and other dignitaries have eulogised Hajia Amina Yunusa Aguye, mother of the House of Reps member-elect, Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, who died and was buried on March 9.

The death of the deceased was described as a great loss to the entire Oworo kingdom by bigwigs at the Fidau prayers held on Sunday at Karara, in Lokoja local government area.

The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban who extolled the virtues of the deceased.

In a brief sermon, Sheikh Shaban reminded all of God’s commandment that they should take good care of their parents, dead or alive.

He admonished children to remember their dead parents through acts of charity and kindness to the needy.

One of the APC stalwarts and  Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu said Late Hajia  Amina Aguye was a good mother not only to her children, but to the entire children that came across her.

“Hajia never discriminated, she took us as her sons and she always gave us motherly advice that is presently assisting us in our entire human endeavour.”

The Commissioner admonished the children to continue to be upright and not to lose faith in Allah.

The Executive Chairman of Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board,  (SUBEB), Comrade Abdullahi Ndalayi Sulaiman, in his remark thanked Allah for a life well spent by late Amina Aguye and described her death as a great loss to the family.

The eldest son of the deceased, Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, House of Reps member-elect, expressed profound appreciation to all present for attending the Fidau prayer of his late mother.

He described the death of the mother as a great loss not only to the family but to the entire Oworo Kingdom.

He said the children would continue to carry on with the selfless service to humanity and to God among other good legacies his mother left behind.

Top politicians and dignitaries within and outside the state attended the Fidau prayer.
