NDE Flags Off 5-Day Enterprise, Finance Counseling Clinic Session In Kogi

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has organized a 5 day Enterprise and Finance counseling Clinic (NDE-efcc) in Kogi State.

The Kogi State Head Information and Public Relations, Abdulmalik Tijani Ibrahim, stated this in a press statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday.

According to the statement, the opening ceremony of the NDE-efcc, the Director General of the NDE, Mall Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo who was represented by the State Coordinator, Comrade Ibidun Abiodun Amos disclosed that the concept of the NDE-efcc was borne out of the desire to provide opportunity for business persons facing challenges to obtain solutions through experience sharing with other businessmen through the counseling sessions with the established business persons that are part of the facilitators of the training.

According to the NDE spokesperson, the clinic also seeks to guide them in solid business Management.

Amos further disclosed that the training is simultaneously holding in Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo Gombe, Imo, Kebbi, Kwara, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Plateau, Sokoto, Abia and Taraba State with a total of 1,235 participants selected from the 18 States at the rate of 65 participants per State.

He seized the opportunity to acknowledge the kind cooperation of the State Government in creating the enabling environment for the Directorate to operate within its mandate especially in the area of providing security.

In her goodwill message, the representative of the Deputy Director Small Scale Enterprise Department from the Headquarters, Mrs. Patience Bajeh stated that the training was developed as part of the effort of the NDE to equip unemployed graduates of tertiary institutions with professional and business skills which would enhance their capacities to succeed in their chosen businesses.

She added that participants would be taught how to discover their potentials as entrepreneurs.

Earlier in his welcome address, the state head of Small Scale Enterprise Department, Mall. Muftau Umar charged participants to take the training with utmost seriousness.

He congratulated them saying their selection is a deliberate attempt towards making them to be gainfully employed.

Responding on behalf of other participants, Mshelia Hyelsinta Musa appreciated the NDE for the wonderful job creation programme.

She assured the Federal Government of the multiplier effects as a way of reciprocating the gesture.
