*** As stakeholders pass vote of confidence on Akawu, others

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi Local Government area of Kogi, on Wednesday suspended its party chairman, Hon. Abubakar Onah, over alleged fund misappropriation, Incompetence and insubordination.
Mr Saidu O. Dauda, Kogi Local Government APC Youth leader, announced this in a statement in Koton-Karfe, the Headquarters of the Council at the end of a stakeholders’ meeting.
The statement reads:”Rising from the ward meeting held at Edeha on Wednesday, the party passed a vote of no confidence on Abubakar Onah on allegations of misappropriation and diversion of funds belonging to the party into his private pocket.
“All the ill-motivated and mischievous suspension of our respected party leaders teleguided by by Engr. Bashir Gegu, Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resource is fake, rubbish an ill- conceived.
“That critical stakeholders from Odaki, Koton-Karfe South East and Girinya wards respectively passed vote of confidence on Hon. Salihu Akawu Saidu (SAS), Barrister Mohammed Tanko Musa Osuku, Hon. Abdulrahaman Wuya and Abdulrahaman Ibrahim Akabu.
“That the LGA Exco have no legal and moral justification to suspend our leaders.Their action is null and void and of no consequence.
In a related development, Saidu O. Dauda, representing Koton-Karfe South East ward and pioneer LGA Youth leader, Haruna Abdullahi, LGA Organizing Secretary representing Odaki ward and Muhammed Hussain representing Girinya ward condemned the purported suspension of the party leaders.
In their meeting resolved that: “The Koton-Karfe South East ward critical stakeholders and the Excos insisted that Abubakar Onah having found wanting in misappropriation of the party fund and palliatives meant for the party members is not only suspended but will be prosecution.
They also resolved that the Kogi LGA chapter of the APC should as a matter of urgency and within 72 hours retrieve the fake news of our respected party leaders purported suspension from their platforms in the best interest of the party.
Similarly, a vote of confidence was passed on Chairmen of Odaki and Koton-Karfe South East wards and their respective executive committee members.
They further lamented that the running of the Party in recent time by Abubakar Onah is a matter of great concern to genuine members of the APC saying that the purported suspension of the Odaki and Koton-Karfe South East wards chairmen because they refused to be part of the dirty game or do the hatchet job of Engr. Bashir was illegal and cannot stand.
