Lokoja LG Boss Flags off Distribution of Health Impact Program Facilities Donated By World Bank

The Executive Chairman of Lokoja local government area, Hon. Muhammed Dan’Asabe Muhammed, has flagged off the distribution of Health Impact Program facilities donated by World Bank.

Speaking during the ceremony at the headquarters of Primary Health Care office in Lokoja on Tuesday, he noted that the equipment will cater for the health needs of the health centres adding that the health care needs of the people of Lokoja LGA remains a top priority of his administration.

Muhammed urged the health workers to take care of the medical facilities and ensure that they were put into proper use for the benefits of the people.

He appreciated the leadership of Impact Project,  KSPHCDA, Ministry of Health, as well as partners such as World Bank, among others.

Receiving the equipment, the HOD Health, Muhammed Bosci Umar, lauded the World Bank for the multi-million naira equipment donated to the Primary Health Care Centres in Lokoja local government area.

He also commended the council chairman for his support for health care delivery services in the council area.

Umar noted that the facilities will bust the quality of health care services in the area especially as it concerns reproduction, maternal, newborn child, adolescent and elderly across the the 10 wards.

He said the equipment will improve the quality of health care delivery in the council.

Some of the medical equipment distributed include, Sanction Machine Manual, Examination Couch, Adult and infant Hospital Beds and mattresses, Kidney DNH (small and big).

Others are, Motorcycles, Stethoscope (fetal), Stretch or trolley, Sphygmomanometer, Cuscow vactual speculum, Dissecting forceps, Adult and infant weighing machines, etc
