The immediate past FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has congratulated former Kano Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Senator Ajibola Basiru as the National Secretary.
Dr Aliyu, in a statement she personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Friday, described Ganduje’s victory as a testimony to the tremendous respect that he enjoys across the polity for his integrity, experience and leadership capacity.
“I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Senator Ajibola Basiru, on their emergence as the National Chairman and Secretary of the APC.
“I share this common belief in their suitability for piloting the affairs of our great party APC, from this very important juncture.
“Ganduje’s antecedents as a political leader and astute administrator shows that our party has made a great choice in his election as our National Chairman,” she said
She urged them to do their best to deliver their mandates and live up to the expectations of the teeming members of the party within and outside the country.
“Posterity will recognise their great sacrifices”.
“I also thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders of our great party whose exemplary leadership and wise counsels led to the success of the election.
