The Lokoja Youths 4 Muri/Sam, a youth focused mobilization group for the actualization of the Rescue Kogi Project of the Social Democratic Party SDP, has asked the people of Lokoja Local Government Area, particularly the youths who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to take advantage of the ongoing ward collection process to do the needful.
The charge was made by the group during their voters sensitization tour of Lokoja Ward ‘D’ on Saturday.
The group, led by Alhaji Idris Sofada, urged people not to despair as a result of the unprecedented hardship the ruling APC government plunged the state into, saying the time to recover Kogi from the hands of the “inept APC leadership is now.”
“The opportunity presented by the coming November 11 governorship election is one that we as youths must use to take action, the emphasis is on the youths because we are the demography that is most hit by the failure of the APC led government, therefore the upcoming election should be a referendum on the performance of the APC, we must take action to flush them out.
“The ‘Operation Rescue Kogi’ project of the SDP’s flagbearer, Alhaji Yakubu Muritala Ajaka, is the most articulated, realistic and youth friendly manifestos from among those of all the other contending parties,” Sofada stressed.
