A grassroot political organisation, the United Progressive Political Parties (UPPP), has hailed the Supreme Court, on Monday’s landmark judgement in which Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, was confirmed as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State.
The UPPP praised the Supreme Court for dismissing the appeal brought before it.
The Chairman of the UPPP, Abdulgafar Dirisu, in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday, said the judgement of the Supreme Court has demonstrated and confirmed the widespread pronouncement that the judiciary was the hope of common Nigerians.
Dirisu congratulated the State APC Governorship Candidate on the final judgement on the litany of litigations over his election, qualification and eligibility as the APC’s flagbearer in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
With Monday’s Supreme Court judgement, Dirisu said all was now set for the victory of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in the November 11 gubernatorial polls.
He urged all Kogites to queue behind and support the election of Ododo, saying that the APC Gubernatorial Candidate would deliver on his promises and develop Kogi State in all facets.
