Hundreds of Muslim Ummah yesterday converged at Maigari Palace, Lokoja for special prayers session for the outgoing Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, CON and the incoming Governor- elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The prayers session which kick started by 7:45 pm was organized by son of late Maigari of Lokoja, Magistrate (Prince) Yakubu Muhammed Kabir Maikarfi.
Leading the prayers session, a renown Lokoja-base Islamic Scholar, Alaramma Malam Abdulrahaman Danladi Kabawa, commended Governor Yahaya Bello for the giant strides recorded by his administration, especially in Lokoja, the state capital.
He specifically mentioned some viable projects to includes newly constructed befitting Flyover at Ganaja Junction, construction of roads and street lights in every nooks and cronies in Lokoja city, renovation of State Specialist Hospital, Construction of befitting Muhammadu Buhari Square, renovation of Roundabout at Obasanjo Square, provisions of potable water, security to mention but few.
The Islamic cleric who prayed for Gov Bello for Allah’s protection and guidance in his future political endeavour as he is preparing to bow out in the next coming weeks, said the unprecedented successes and achievements recorded by the governor in Kogi State will remain indelible in the anal of history of the state especially the inclusion of Kogi State among the States enjoying 13% Oil derivations.
Alaramma Danladi Kabawa also prayed for the Incoming administration of Governor- elect, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, hoping and praying that the governor elect will emulate and consolidate on the successes already achieved by Governor Yahaya Bello as he was a major stakeholders in the Outgoing government, knowing fully the roadmap.
The organizer of the prayers session, Chief Magistrate( Prince) Yakubu Muhammed Kabir Maikarfi, thanked all those who attended the prayer session and prayed that year 2024 will be a year of prosperity to all Kogites and Nigerians in general.
Prayers were also offered for the peace, unity, stability and progress of Lokoja Emirate, Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
Recall that Yakubu Muhammed Kabir Maikarfe, usually organize special prayer for the outgoing and incoming governors evey Friday at his late father’s palace.
