A quick glance at history reveals that the lgala have produce three different governors, namely Late Prince Abubakar Audu, Alhaji lbrahim ldris and Captain ldris lchala Wada while the Ebira’s have produce two, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Governor Usman Ododo presently occupying the Lugard House.. Only Kogi West/Okun extraction have been marginalized and yet to produce a Governor ..In Okun Land,we are optimistic that sooner than later, Okun extraction will produce a Governor..
From observation,no election held in Kogi State since we return to democractic system of government that is 100% free and fair,yet we keep tolerating each other for mutual understanding and focused on the development of our dear state..
At times like this, togetherness, cooperation and unity is what we need to ensure peaceful co-existence among all kogite..
For equity, fairness and justice,l will implore our people from Kogi East to accept and support Governor Ododo victory in the last governorship election in Kogi State and after his tenure of office, the Baton should be handled over to Okun people ,to buttress the EBIGO AGENDA…
Let us shun political tribalism/ethnic bigotry…It is obvious why the Eastern are determined to go to any lengths to defend their tribes leader from any criticisms or wrong doings regardless of fact..
Remember, Ajaka and followers never concedes an inch to other tribes..lt is an “us versus them”mentality, where them are seen as morally suspect and morally dangerous while “us are saints by comparison…
GYB led administration and the process that brought Ododo on board might be faulty, but the sitting governor Alhaji Usman Ododo is gradually changing the old order of things and of the ability to bring about fundamental changes in backwards..He meant well for the people of kogi State and as such, he should be adequately supported…
*Good governance can’t be an agenda because good governance has got no tribe.*
We should not be stuck with ethnic bigotry against purposeful leadership..
Governor Ododo is here to stay for eight years,may he continue to prioritize good governance and deliver to the expectation of the people..After which the Baton goes to Kogi West/Okun extraction.. Kogi State must stand on EBIGO AGENDA for Equity, fairness and justice…
