“Our expectations is Tinubu to eliminate all the threats of any form of banditry, kidnapping for ransom, and the scourge of all forms of violent extremism. l implore President Tinubu to reached out to competent people who would assist him to solve the problem of Nigeria. To avoid unforseen coups, there must be a radical change of direction. Military coups can be prevented only by improving the overall state of a country’s domestic and foreign affairs.

“A look at the history of coups in West Africa suggests some recurring themes as causes. These show how likely more coups are and what needs to change to prevent them. Unimpressive democratic conditions in countries can influence a successful military take-over of government”, Chief Asaje warned.

Chief Asaje further stressed that, “either way, coups are rarely a solution to bad governance. The trend must be stopped in its tracks.
