In what looks like a revenge, some yet to be identified hoodlums have destroyed the campaign billboards of Governor Yahaya Bello, in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
This is coming barely two weeks after some persons debased the billboards and posters of Bello’s opponent, former Chief of Naval Staff, Jibrin Usman.
Kogiwatch observed that a billboard and posters belonging to the governor located at the popular Jaiz bank and Ganaja junctions were vandalised, the same place that of Bello’s opponent, Usman was destroyed a few weeks back.
Similarly, another billboard mounted along the Lokoja – Abuja Highway was vandalised.
It was learnt that Bello and Usman are currently battling for the Kogi State governorship ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Efforts to reach Bello’s spokesman, Kingsley Fanwo, were fruitless as his phone was switched off at the time of filling this report.
