NNPP Presents Flags To North Central Candidates

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has presented its flags to the party’s candidates for Governorship, National and state Assemblies from the North Central zone and vowed to clean APC and PDP’s mess.

Speaking during presentation of the flags in at Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital on Monday, the Party’s Presidential flag-bearer, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwoso, said all the party’s candidates were chosen through democratic process.

“Our candidates were chosen based on merit, they are competent and capable, so if elected in the forthcoming general election they will help in turning round the zone and country from its current quagmire to the path of peace and prosperity.

“Therefore, I am calling on the people of North Central zone and Nigeria to vote for NNPP candidates at all levels so that they can clean the mess and atrocities committed by PDP and APC in the last 22 years,” he said.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after he was resented the party’s flag, Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar Bukky,
the Kogi West Senatorial candidate of the NNPP said, he has requisite exposure, education and other qualities that could be used to bring the much-expected socio-economic development to the area if elected to the senate.

He said he has been tested in various state and national positions and performed creditably and this will be replicated at the national assembly if elected so as to add more values to the well being of the senatorial district.

Bukky, who was elated following the large turn out of the people from Kogi State, said he would do everything possible to live up to the expectations of the senatorial district devoid of any political parties’ affiliation.

He noted that, he would not betray the confidence reposed in him if elected, adding that, “the people of Kogi Western senatorial district deserves good and quality representation and this will be pursued to the latter if given the mandate.”

In his own remarks, the Kogi State NNPP Chairman, Alhaji Ahmadu Abdullahi Usman, a.k.a. Angulu Hukuma, said Kogi is currently in a sorry state with increasing poverty and high rate of child and maternal mortality, therefore it requires collective effort to be rescued and delivered.

“Kogi State is blessed with vast arable land, human and mineral resources which if properly utilized, the state can become one of the most prosperous states in the country.

“But unfortunately, the kind of dictatorial and totalitarian system operated in the state has deterred it from attaining the dream of its founding fathers,” Usman said.

He therefore, called on the people of Kogi State to vote for all NNPP candidates in the coming elections.
