Ebira Doctors’ Forum Lauds Gov. Bello’s Appointment Of Prof Avidime As CMD Reference Hospital Okene

The Ebira Doctors Forum (EDF) has extended its warm appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, over the recent appointment of Prof. Solomon Avidime, as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Kogi State Reference Hospital, Okene.

A statement by the President of EDF, Dr Kabiru Zubair on Friday in Lokoja, commended the governor and described the gesture as an “Exceptional Appointment”.

According to him, in an era where healthcare delivery needs seasoned leadership, the appointment of Prof. Avidime as the CMD of Reference Hospital, Okene, has resonated with the medical community.

“The Ebira Doctors Forum (EDF) wholeheartedly extends its deepest gratitude to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello, for his discerning choice.

“Prof Avidime’s reputation precedes him as a leader in the medical field, a scholar with integrity, and a professional with a passion for healthcare.

“His numerous accomplishments and unrelenting dedication to patient care make him the perfect candidate for this prestigious role,” the forum said.

The group emphasised that the Governor’s decision to appoint Prof Avidime had sent a clear message of commitment to quality healthcare in Kogi State.

The forum stressed that the recognition of merit, expertise, and experience over other considerations has set a precedent that other States should emulate.

“The EDF believes that Prof Avidime’s leadership at the Kogi State Reference Hospital will lead to significant advancements in patient care, medical research, and community engagement within the region.

“We anticipate a bright future for healthcare in Kogi State, backed by policies and programs that reflect a compassionate and forward-thinking approach.

The EDF, therefore, extended its sincere gratitude to the Governor for his exemplary choice in appointing the Professor.

The group added: “We look forward to working closely with the CMD to enhance healthcare delivery, and are excited to witness the positive changes his leadership will undoubtedly bring to the Reference Hospital, Okene”.
