I am more than elated and short of words with which to express my profound gratitude , and appreciation to the entire His Royal Majesty, Oba Olu Anthony B. Idowu, Olu Adde of Ekinnrin Adde , the entire Ekinnrin Adde community, and Members of the planning committee of this historical and Noble event for deeming it fit to confer on me and my Jewel of inestimable value the chieftaincy titles of Otunba Fiwasaiye and Yeye Otunba Fiwasaiye of Ekinnrin Adde on this auspicious day.
It is a rare great privilege that we are not taking for granted .
More astonishing is when information filtered to me , that am to be the Chairman of this great Noble event .
I heaved a great and said in a loud voice ” kmo kohi lomo” meaning what trouble have I found myself now .
I have had a long standing cordial relationship with this ancient community that spans decades ” a relationship which has cumulated into a lot of friends that have become family members.
This honor done to us will go a long way in making us triple our little contributions to the socioeconomic , community and human development of the community.
We salute the courage , tenacity and purposeful focus of His Royal Majesty, the Oba of Ekinnrin Adde, his Council of Chief’s, and the entire Members of the planning committee of this epoch making event for putting in place such a grand event ” that will remain evergreen”.
To fellow chieftaincy recipients I say congratulations, and to the organizers I say thumbs up for a job very well done.
On a final note, I want to passionately from the depth of my heart tender an unreserved apology for our Inability to be physically present here today .
We are unavoidable absent as a result of a sudden incident that came up unprompted .
We plead for the understanding of all and sundry to forgive us for not being physically present here today, as we regret any inconveniences our absence might have caused .
