I Won’t Release Nnamdi Kanu, Let Him Face The Law – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday said he would  not release leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu from prison.

The president, in an interview with Channels Television, said he would not interfere with the work of the judiciary.

Buhari had told Southeast elders who visited him sometimes ago that he would consider releasing Kanu.

But when asked about update on Kanu during the interview, Buhari said the judiciary is one institution he would not interfere with.

Buhari said when Kanu was in Europe and abusing the Nigerian government, he never knew the consequence.

But the president said there is however a possibility for political solution if IPOB members behaved properly.

”There is a possibility of political solution if they behave. You cannot go out and abuse us oversees, let him account for what he has done,” he said.
