Madarasatu Isah Kutepa At-tazkaariya, Al-islamiyya in Lokoja Graduates 64 Students

At least 64 students of Madarasatu Isah Kutepa At-tazkaariya, Al-islamiyya in Lokoja, graduated from the school after completing the reading of 60 portions of the Holy Quran.

The Director of the school, Ustaz Mohammed Yahaya Abu Bilad, announced this in Lokoja, Kogi State on Sunday when he addressed guests at the 5th graduation ceremony.

He said 64 students successfully completed the reading of 60 portions of the Holy Quran, while 20 students of the age of 13 years learnt the entire Holy Quran by heart.

Bilad advised Muslim parents to go extra mile to ensure their children retained the Islamic identity by putting them in school that is Islam-friendly.

“We need to compliment the western education of our children with Arabic learning because it is very difficult to find an Islamic-friendly school. Out of 100 good schools, I am sure you may not be able to find one that is Islamic-friendly. It therefore, required that parents should strengthen all the ingredient of socialization for them in order to be convinced that the identity they hold onto is valuable,” he said.

In his remarks, the Maigari of Lokoja, Dr. Mohammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111, who was represented by Mallam Angulu Abubakar, congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be of good character.

He said traditional rulers would continue to support the pursuit of both Islamic and Western education.

He called on the graduating students to make judicious use of the knowledge acquired, stressing that they should be good ambassadors of the school.

He cautioned them against keeping bad company and unnecessary arguments that could cause trouble for themselves and the society.

Also speaking, Hon. Baba Sule Dansarki, Co-founder of the schooll, congratulated the graduating students and urged them to imbibe the teachings of the Holy Quran in their daily activities.

He also called on parents to enrol their children in western educational schools, stressing that girl-child education was paramount to the nation’s development.

He said he was willing to extend any support to the school and the graduating students especially those who are determined to further their education.
