The Executive Director, Risk Management, Keystone Bank, Alhaji Tijjani Aliyu, on Saturday led other dignitaries to attend the fidau prayer for Alhaja Mohammadu Dubagari Eggan, father of Lokoja chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Women Leader, Hajiya Saratu Gana Mohammed in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Other dignitaries that graced the event included a Barrister Shaba Ibrahim, member representing Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency, Abubakar Sulaiman Khalil, APC, Director of Administration, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba, the Dama of Lokoja, Abubakar Muhammed Ola, Sec. Gen. ALGON, Etsu Umar Muhammed, Rtd federal Perm Sec, Hamisu Nayashi, Senior Custom Officer and a host of others.
Alhaji Dubagari died on Tuesday at the age of 78 and was buried the same day at Angwan-Kura Muslim cementry, Lokoja.
The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Aminu Shaban who extolled the virtues of the deceased.
In a brief sermon, the Imam reminded all of God’s commandment that they should take good care of their parents, dead or alive.
He admonished children to remember their dead parents through acts of charity and kindness to the needy.
Meanwhile, after the prayer session, Alhaji Tijjani Aliyu who is also the Sardauna of Kakanda Kingdom paid a condolence visit to the family where he prayed for the repose of the deceased.
Speaking on behalf of the entire family, Hajiya Saratu Gana Mohammed, appreciated the banker for attending the fidau prayer.
She extolled the banker’s virtue of patience as displayed on the funeral day, where he had to wait standing for over 30 minutes before the arrival of the Chief Imam.
Also, speaking on behalf of the immediate family of the deceased, Barrister Abdulmalik Umar commended the Sardauna Kakanda for the support to the family for the burial that includes money and other materials.
