The Kogi State Publicity Secretary of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Alhaji
Musa Audu Dankano, on Wednesday, said Alhaji Ahmadu Abdullahi Usman, a.k.a. Angulu Hukuma, remains the state chairman of the party.

The party further dismissed social media reports that Alhaji Ahmadu Abdullahi Usman (chairman) Sulaiman Muhammed (secretary), have been suspended by the party’s State Working Committee (SWC).

According to the report, the suspension followed an emergency meeting of the NNPP State Working Committee.

The report claimed the Chairman and Secretary have been suspended.

Reacting, Dankano said, “Even though we do not wish to dignify falsehood with a response, an official reaction is necessary in order to stem the tide of misinformation.”

This was contained in a statement, titled, ‘Usman still Kogi NNPP Chairman,’ made available to newsmen on Wednesday.

The NNPP Spokesman said the party and the SWC were united and Usman remains the state chairman and Sulaiman, Secretary.

He said, “The attention of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the NNPP has been drawn to a fictitious report being circulated in a section of the social media suggesting that the State Chairman of our great Party, Alhaji Ahmadu Abdullahi Usman and Secretary have been suspended by the SWC.

“Such report is completely false and a product of the imagination of mischief makers with the intent to destabilize our Party, create an impression of crisis within our ranks and mislead the unsuspecting members of the public.

“It is clear that the false report is the handiwork of vicious anti-people forces who are agitated by the stability, unity and soaring popularity of our Party under the cohesive Usman-led State Working Committee as well as the intimidating statures of our Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Bishop Isaac Idahosa, respectively.
