The Kogi Western Senatorial District Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP) Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar Bukky, has said he is still in the Senatorial race.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Bukky clearly dismissed the possibility of stepping down from the race for Kogi Western Senatorial District.

He refuted reports of him withdrawing from the senatorial race and encouraged his supporters not to entertain fear as he is working tirelessly to emerge as the winner of the race come 2023.

Bukky described as mischief, the reports that he has withdrawn from the race, noting that those who planted the report were jittery of his political popularity, acceptance and dominance in political space hence, they cooked the fake report to create confusion.

He said Kogi West electorates should ignore the sponsored lies by some party candidates to distract him from his quest to succeed the incumbent senator in the next senatorial election.

“Contrary to their unnecessary fabrications against my widely accepted senatorial ambition, we restate for the pleasure of Kogi West people that the falsehood trending currently in Social Media that I have dropped my ambition is false.

“The withdrawal reports are mere handiwork of politicians who are intimidated by my widely acceptance.

“My ambition to become Kogi West Senator is alive and my supporters should be rest assured that I am still in the race to win and not just to answer NNPP candidate”.
