As Kogi State prepares for November 11, 2023 governorship election, major stakeholders in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zone ‘A’ of Kogi Local Government Area, who converged in Koton-Karfe on Wednesday for a crucial meeting said they would mobilize and ensure that the Governorship candidate of the party, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is impressively voted for in the area to win the gubernatorial election.
The meeting was held at the Central Primary School, Kogi Koton Karfe under the leadership of Hon. Chief Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu (SAS).
Speaking with journalists at the end of the Stakeholders meeting held at the LG Secretariat, the deputy chairman, Ododo/Joel Campaign Council,
Hon Saidu Salihu Akawu, said; ‘’We will not just deliver but to deliver very impressively. Of cause that gives us responsibility to work very hard, so we have a long strategy session.
‘’That in the person of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, we have committed and dedicated ourselves to the campaigns, we intend to mobilize our leaders, our youths, our students, our women and everyone in Kogi local government area to vote APC.
He pointed out that.’’ Since our federal constituency is the second largest registered voters in the state, we intend to mobilize everyone of the voters to vote our party. That is the revolution of the leadership of APC in Kogi LGA.’’
Akawu, who is also the Galadima of Koton-Karfe said the election is very near and they are expected to be proactive.
He said, ‘’We are working ahead of time to be proactive and to sensitise our people on the need to vote our candidate. Luckily for us, we have landmarks which we can point at. We are just meeting as a party to strategize and plan ahead of our elections.

(Black Man). Kogi LGT, Chief Dr. Yusuf Ohikwura Abdullahi, Kogi LG chief of staff Hon. A Muhammad Danjuma, Chief of staff to Rt Hon. Speaker, Kogi State House Of Assembly Hon. IU Lawal. All the three wards party Chairman. All the three wards Councilors. Hon. Retire, Hon. Bungalo (Girinya). Hon. Dangominate. Hajiya Maimunat Iyami, amongst others.
