The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, hosted a key All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Mamud Shaba Kupa at his residence in Abuja, on Sunday.
The Lokoja LG APC cheiftain had discussions with Ododo, but the outcome of the meeting is unknown.
Addressing reporters after that meeting, Shaba Kupa, had said, “It was a great honour to pay courtesy to the Governor and congratulate him, first and foremost, for his victory at the Supreme Court on Friday. We had a whole lot of heart-to-heart discussions, but primarily, it’s to congratulate him.”
Shaba Kupa hailed the Supreme Court judgement affirming the election of Gov. Ododo.
The APC cheiftain who spoke against the backdrop of Friday’s judgement of the apex court said, “The Supreme Court has vindicated the deep love and strong support from the vast majority of Kogi to our great party.”
A visibly excited Shaba Kupa said, “The Supreme Court is on point with its pronouncements on the SDP and AA appeals, and we did not expect anything less.”
He said that the hard work, massive projects, and accomplishments of the governor endeared him to the people.
According to him, the massive road construction Ododo’s administration has done in the regular payment of workers salary remains unprecedented in the history of the state.
“Please discountenance the unfounded claims of the opposition parties; if they re-contest the election with Ododo as APC flagbearer 10 times, APC will emerge victorious in all.
