The candidate of the All New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP), for the Kogi West senatorial district, Hon. Muhammed Ibukun Abubakar Bukky, has promised to embark on measures that would re-write the sordid history of neglect of the constituency through qualitative representation if elected Senator for the zone.
Bukky, a philanthropist regretted that the zone endowed with abundant human and material resources had over the years lagged behind in development and growth as a result of the poverty of vision of some of her indigenes in positions of authority.
The politician, who gave the assurance at the party secretariat while speaking to our correspondent also advised the nation’s electorate to shun primordial sentiments and to vote for candidates with the necessary vision and capacity to remedy the plight of the man on the street.
The philanthropist gave an assurance that he would do his best to meet the expectations of the people, stressing that the nation had democratically come of age when her electoral system should be firmly anchored on selfless service for the people, promotion of patriotism, national unity and cohesion.
He boasted that as a party that believes in internal democracy, rule of law and resolution of the problems confronting the masses, the NNPP is sure of victory in all stages of the 2023 general elections both as the states and federal level.
He commended the party delegates and stakeholders for the support given to him before and during the just concluded party Senatorial Primaries at Kabba.
