Lokoja 11 state constituency Stakeholders Consultative Forum, a group campaigning for power shift in Lokoja LGA, has said that, it is the turn of the people of Lokoja 11 to take the local government chairmanship slot in 2024.
Speaking at a press conference in Lokoja, the chairman of the forum, Mallam Ahmed Isah, said that, “Lokoja 11 state constituency has paid their dues to Lokoja 1 State Constituency by rallying support for them to occupy the Chairmanship position of the council since the inception of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration and hence it is their turn to reciprocate the gesture in the interest of justice and fair play”
Isah said that, the forum has commenced consultations with other stakeholders of the LGA so as to garner support for the move in order to move the council forward.
He said that, “the consultations of the Forum to take the Chairmanship slot in the next local government election is based on the need for unity, equity and justice which remain a tool for sustainable growth and development of the area”.
