Dr. Ramatu Aliyu Congratulates Aguye, APC On Tribunal Victory

The immediate past FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has congratulated the member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Sulaiman Danladi Aguye on his victory at the Election Petition Tribunal on Tuesday.

She also congratulated the Kogi State leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the victory.

The tribunal in a 2-hour long judgement on Tuesday, dismissed the petition by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its House of Representatives Candidate, Barrister Ahaba Ibrahim.

The former Minister applauded the Nigerian Judiciary, especially members of the Election Petition Tribunal, for doing its job without fear or favour.

In a statement she personally signed, Dr. Aliyu felicitated with the entire members of the APC family statewide for the victory.

“I am elated to congratulate Hon. Sulaiman Danladi Aguye on his victory at the tribunal. Ab initio, I had no doubt whatsoever in my mind that the you will come out victorious, considering the massive support your constituents gave you before and during the house of reps. Election.

“May I also congratulate the Nigerian Judiciary for living up to expectations by doing the right thing. With this judgement, a precedent has been set for electoral matters in the country,” Dr. Aliyu said.
