The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu has congratulated the party over a successful House of Representatives Primary election in Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituecy.
Bashir-Gegu, who spoke with newsmen shortly after the conclusion of the primary election, described the outcome of the election as credible.
He noted that the former Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor, Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye, won the majority of votes cast by delegates at the house of represetatives primary election of the party held at Children’s Ammusment Park, Lokoja.
The commissioner described the primary election credible, adding that the process and the result of the election was free and fair, devoid of rancour.
“The succes is for the party and all the contestants, the entire APC family and the entire people of Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituecy”,
“I acknowledge and deeply appreciates the sacrifice and magnanimity shown by the aspirants for their doggedness to fast-track a rancour free process of nominating a candidate”, he said.
“I want to hail the resilience and undying faith of our teeming members in the state, being the spine of the party, which has seen it emerge victorious from one election year to another”, he added.
He said that the APC in Kogi state remained reliant on the unity of purpose among its leaders and members, which according to him, has engendered a mature internal democracy culture.
The unity of APC in the state, Bashir-Gegu said has given birth to the free, fair and transparent primary election which has become the envy of their opponents, which he said they cannot attain.
