A group known as Kogi East Political Projects Advocacy has called on other Governorship candidates of different political parties from the Zone to drop their ambitions and cue behind the Governorship Candidate of the Accord Party (AP), Vice Admiral Usman Oyibe Jibrin Rtd
According to the group, this will enable the zone win the governorship seat in the State.
Speaking at a Press conference in Ankpa on Monday, the Director General of the group, Alhaji Yahaya Audu said the effort is to ensure the next Governor of the State come from Kogi East.
According to him, their Decision to narrow it down to the Usman Oyibe Jibrin is based on his capacity, credibility and competence to rescue Kogi State.
On the objectives of the Kogi East Political Projects Advocacy Group, Audu said the advocacy is a network of intelligent and accomplished youths, who came together with a mission to support the governorship ambition of any trusted candidate from Kogi East.
“We believe that supporting Usman Oyibe Jibrin will rescue the tanking economy, and steer the state to a much better path.
“This movement is currently in all the 9 local government areas of Kogi East”, he added.
