APC Group Passes Confidence Of Vote On Ganduje, Urges Pres.Tinubu To Disregard Those Seeking His Removal

A group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the Transparency Network (TN) has passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of the party, His Excellency, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

This is just as members of the group urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to disregards the antics of some fifth columnists within the party who are rooting for his (Ganduje’s) removal.

These are contained in a statement jointly signed by the National Coordinator of the group, Hon. Attahiru Zamfara and Secretary Hon, Bashir Maaji which was made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday.

In the statement, Attahiru who stated that his group has been watching the performance of the immediate past governor of Kano State, saying he has steered the ship of the party creditably since he assumed the party.

“We, members of the Transparency Network, a group within the APC with membership across the country and the FCT have been watching the activities of Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and we have come to the conclusion that the party has made the right choice,” the statement reads.

Attahiru on behalf of his members reeled out the achievements of the National Chairman to include the relative peace that have pervaded the party.

He also lauded the efforts being made by the national leadership of the party to not only retain the states that the party had won but to win more states, especially the last three governorship elections which out of three the party won two.

“It’s on record, that our National Chairman brought the highest votes from Kano state to the party during the last presidential election that brought our amiable president to power.

“What we have also noted is the ability of the National Chairman of our party to resolve crisis by carrying all stakeholders along. One clear example is the Ondo State leadership crisis,” he wrote.

Sounding a note of caution to President Bola Tinubu, the group in the statement further wrote, “We are aware of the moves being made by fifth columnists within the party to use the president to remove Alhaji Ganduje from office.

“This is why we are calling on the president not to yield to the antics of these elements who are working for groups outside the party to truncate the prevailing peace within the APC.

“So far, the National Chairman of our party is doing well and what he needs at this time is encouragement to do more for the party and not this distraction that is being formented by this disgruntled elements.”
