A grassroot political organisation, the United Progressive Political Parties (UPPP), has commended all adherents of democracy and good governance for trooping out in their thousands on Sunday in solidarity with Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and the APC who flagged campaign in Lokoja
The UPPP also used the occasion of the campaign flag off, to commend and congratulate Governor Yahaya Bello for a successful second term tenure which has witnessed monumental development strides in various facets of governance and has endeared Mr Governor to the hearts of appreciative Kogites who trooped out in solidarity with him, which is an endorsement for his party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
According to the UPPP chairman,
Abdulgafar Dirisu, “We feel proud and excited to proclaim that Governor Yahaya Bello has performed excellently well in his first and second term in office which is still ongoing, in line with the tradition of excellent performance of good governance.
“Mr Yahaya Bello has distinguished himself excellently well in the areas of governance such as his outstanding role as the incident commander in the fight against crime, which earned him local and international accolades.
The UPPP also mentioned the infrastructural development projects of Bello in all areas of governance such as the provision, construction, reconstruction and renovation of health institutions, roads, agricultural tools and implements for farmers, empowerment of youth’s among others.
